Our therapists often conduct home visits to determine safety concerns and equipment needs. Therapists may recommend environmental or routine modifications that would allow the patient to function better at home. This provides a smooth transition back into the home which ensures that the patient and their family members are confident and comfortable with their return home.
Our speech therapists are specially trained to evaluate each patient and develop individualized plans of care to treat communication, swallowing, and memory loss disorders. These disorders can arise from hearing problems, cognitive conditions, or be the result of a stroke or an accident. Our speech therapists treat a wide range of impairments such as aphasia, swallowing and/or voice disorders, and other communication problems. Many different treatment interventions can be used, such as behavior modification, cognitive strategies, and swallowing compensatory techniques to achieve a patient’s highest optimal independence.
